Britany received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida in 2012.
She majored in Environmental Science and minored in Mass Communication, Sustainability Studies, and Ethics. She also received the Certificate in Meteorology and Climatology offered through the Department of Geography.
While studying at the University of Florida, she volunteered her time to work on hurricane research in 2011 and 2012.
After receiving her undergraduate degree, Britany worked as a Program Assistant for the non-profit, ECOMB (Environmental Coalition of Miami and the Beaches). She is currently working for Miami Dade College’s Earth Ethics Institute as an AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteer In Service To America).
