  • Vegetation effects on TC rain field

Research Statement

My research interests are mainly related with detecting correlation between land-surface process and rain patterns of tropical cyclone.s Utilizing my specialty in remote sensing and seeking possible support from the WRF model, I hope to detect correlation between various land-surface processes (such as land cover change, vegetation variation and deforestation etc.) and TC rainfall patterns (such as precipitation, rainfield location/shape or rainfall timing) from both modelling and observation perspectives.

Projects

Detect vegetation feedbacks on rainfall pattern for landfalling tropical cyclones in the U.S.
