Four graduate students and one undergraduate student presented hurricane-related research along with Dr. Matyas at the 94th Annual Meeting of the American Meteorological Society in Atlanta, GA. Presentations were given Feb. 2-5. Students received valuable feedback on their work from the research community including Dr. Gary Lackmann from NC State University and Bryan Johnson from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and operational forecasting community. Dr. Matyas also touched base with Dr. Marshall Shepherd (AMS President), Dr. Julie Winkler (AAG President), and Dr. WIlliam Easterling (Dean, Pennsylvania State University) among other attendees.
